Class Descriptions

Level 1

The Fitness Center at Wellspring

Body Balance - A gentle 30 minute senior exercise class designed to increase strength, improve balance, and aid in daily activities. Preregistration is required. Call Rebecca E. @ 971.983.5230

Beginning Yoga - Beginning Yoga incorporates breath awareness, mindful yoga postures, basic meditation techniques, guided imagery and the use of yoga props in a way that is appropriate for most people who have never practiced yoga before.

Tai Chi - Enhancing focus and concentration, this centuries-old chinese martial art form improves balance and posture, develops self-defense skills, quiets the mind, and teaches energy cultivation techniques. More active, as compared to Qi Gong.

Qi Gong - An ancient chinese art, Qi Gong means "energy cultivation". In this class, slow, gentle coordination of breath & physical motions of the body assist in enhancing health, diminishing stress, and balancing energy.

Level 2

Yoga at The Fitness Center

Gentle Yoga - This class uses yoga movements and props from a variety of influences, synchronized with mindful breathing to encourage flexibility and strength.  Calm the mind, awaken the body, and open the heart.

NIA - [neuromuscular integrative action] A body, mind, spirit experience where dance, martial arts, self-healing, and freedom of expression are united with great music from around the world. Dance, play and get a great workout while you’re at it.

Mat Pilates - Originally named "contrology", Pilates is a classical fitness program that integrates core stability, balance, abdominals, and low back exercises to lengthen, strengthen, and tone the whole body.

Innergize - A cardiovascular and strengthening program that will stimulate and balance the body with a blend of playful movement, walking, yoga, and upbeat music. Come to awaken the mind, move the body and inspire the heart.

Body Revival - Say goodbye to workout boredom and say hello to variety, fun and fitness!  Using a wide assortment of fitness movements (among them dancing, running, hopping and skipping) combined with strength training, agility and flexibility exercises for a great workout that is adaptable to many ability levels.

Level 3

Yoga at The Fitness Center

Powerflow Yoga - Following a centering meditation, a sequence of invigorating yoga postures that flow smoothly from one to the other. The class starts off slowly and then builds in intensity to create an invigorating flow complete with Pranayama (Yogic breathing) and a resting meditation.

Group Training - Join one of our integrated personal trainers for a guided group training experience that uses both large and small exercise equipment. This class focuses on strength, balance, and endurance in ways that enhance quality of life and overall fitness.

Pilates Fusion - A blend of techniques from pilates, including the mat series & pilates breath, combined with the grace and depth of yoga mixed with functional fitness techniques to create a core-strengthening program that offers a variety of fitness benefits.

Class Information

All classes are one hour, except body balance which is 30 minutes in length.
Level 1 (beginner) - no experience necessary
Level 2 (advanced beginner) - some experience preferred but not necessary
Level 3 (advanced) - experience preferred / personal fitness program of 30+ days recommended
