 “Though I thought I’d done everything right for my health, I had concerns,” says WellspringHeart participant Don Russo, a triathlete. “My blood pressure had been a little high in recent years and frankly, I’m at an age where people have heart attacks. I didn’t want one.”
A 64-slice CT angiogram showed that Don had the beginnings of heart disease in two areas. “I thought, ‘Now I know what I’m up against.’”
After six weeks in the program, all of Don’s test results are in the normal range, including lipids, cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose levels.
He’s also noticed a difference on the scale too, shedding 10 pounds.
“The results are impressive,” says Don, who is optimistic and committed to reversing his heart disease.
